HISTORY OF LGBTQ+ LEGAL RIGHTS

India may not always have had a population of over a billion people, but the subcontinent has constantly been home to several faiths, ethnic cultures and realms, so there is a lot more than one story here of LGBTQ+ rights and acknowledgment. As a whole, however, India was traditionally tolerant of LGBTQ+ relationships, with the exception of the mai
